Goldfinch Health Launches Billion Pill Pledge Program in Central Florida
Goldfinch Health has announced the launch of its Billion Pill Pledge program in partnership with Central Florida Behavioral Health Network, marking the seventh state in which the evidence-based initiative has been established.
The Billion Pill Pledge program represents a comprehensive approach to addressing the opioid crisis through prevention and optimization of prescribing practices. By working directly with healthcare providers and medical professionals, the program aims to reduce unnecessary opioid prescriptions and prevent opioid misuse before it begins, particularly in post-surgical and acute pain management settings.
“Prevention is at the heart of comprehensive opioid abatement strategies,” said John Greenwood, Chief Strategy Officer and Co-founder of Goldfinch Health. “By partnering with community-based behavioral health organizations like Central Florida Behavioral Health Network and healthcare providers to optimize pain management practices, we can make meaningful progress in improving pain management and preventing opioid misuse. We’re committed to bringing evidence-based solutions to Florida and working alongside dedicated professionals who are already doing vital work in their communities.”
Central Florida Behavioral Health Network brings extensive experience in providing behavioral health services and treatment support across the region. The partnership combines Goldfinch Health’s clinical expertise and prevention technology with the network’s deep connections to local healthcare providers and community resources.
The program’s expansion to Florida builds on successful implementations in six other states, where it has supported healthcare systems in optimizing protocols, updating prescribing protocols, and connecting patients with appropriate pain management alternatives.
